CoffeeBOS builds brew boards using native Texas woods—pecan, walnut, mesquite, etc.—as well as some locally-available salvage woods, like longleaf pine. Each siphon brew board is one-of-a-kind work of art—built out of single slab of wood, unless otherwise noted—that is elevated above the table on four turned hardwood feet. To a greater or lesser degree, each brew board showcases unique character wood features, such as grain deviations, spalting, insect damage, live edges and so forth. The boards are sanded through 320 or 400 grit, depending on the surface. The food-safe finish consists of a rosewood oil rub topped by our very own brew board wax (beeswax & mineral oil). Each board is shipped with four cork pads for the feet plus a 1/2-ounce jar of CoffeeBOS brew board wax, which can be reapplied as needed over time.
